Lead-acid batteries have the characteristics of cheap, mature technology, high safety performance.
However, its short battery life, low energy density, deep cycle life of only about 300 times, the need for frequent maintenance, and recycling difficulties, serious pollution of soil and water, the air, ecological balance will also cause damage, affecting human health. In addition, lead-acid batteries are charged with electrolytic lead sulphate, which precipitates H+, causing potential safety hazards.
Lithium iron phosphate battery is a new type of battery using lithium iron phosphate (Li Fe PO4) as the cathode material, with a large capacity of up to 500 Ah, and is widely used in mobile communications, electric vehicles, national grid energy storage and many other fields.
Compared to traditional lead-acid batteries, LiFePO4 has the following characteristics and advantages

d) Stronger charging and discharging advantages.
The LiFePO4 battery itself has the characteristics of fast charging speed, low self-discharge, no memory effect, etc. It can be charged and discharged quickly with high current, and can be charged to 95% in 30 minutes with a special charger;
e) Small size and light weight.
The volume of the lithium battery itself is 2/3 of the lead-acid battery, and the weight is equivalent to 1/3 of the lead-acid battery and about 2/3 of the NiMH battery;
f) High single cell voltage and smoother discharge platform.
The nominal voltage of the single cell is 3.2 V. With fewer series connections and high reliability, it can be charged and discharged with high current and high power. At the same time, it has high discharge rate characteristics, with 10 C charging and discharging efficiency reaching 96% and capacity retention rate 90%.
