How to prevent forklift lithium battery packs from exploding

2023/06/26 14:15:59

We all know that the large capacity and long service life are the advantages of forklift lithium battery packs, and under the instigation of the general environment, lithium batteries are more and more widely concerned. However, as the shopping mall continues to develop, the problems of lithium batteries are also emerging and causing heated debates, such as bulging and simple bursting. So is the lithium battery really a mobile bomb? Why does it burst? After our analysis, the main reasons for bursting can be divided into three types, namely external short circuit, internal short circuit and overcharge. Let's understand the three "culprits" that may lead to the bursting of lithium batteries.

1. External short circuit: refers to the outside of the battery cell, including the forklift lithium battery pack internal insulation design and other factors that lead to a short circuit, there may also be improper operation, will also lead to the occurrence of this condition. If a short circuit occurs outside the battery cell, the electronic components and no blocking circuit, the battery will be discharged at this time will lead to the battery temperature rise, and the high temperature will make the internal diaphragm of the battery cell harm or direct damage, which will lead to the internal short and thus trigger our most fearful blast!

2. Internal short circuit: Once the internal short circuit occurs, it will make the forklift lithium battery pack core current a lot of discharge, a lot of heat, so that the internal composition of a lot of gas, which will lead to the internal pressure is too large, and when this pressure reaches the core shell can not withstand when the burst will occur!

3. Overcharging: When the core is overcharged, it may make the lithium of the positive electrode excessively released, which will lead to changes in the structure of the battery, and the lithium of the negative electrode is not stabbed into the negative electrode, which will also lead to surface lithium precipitation, and when the voltage reaches 4.5V or more, the electrolyte will differentiate and produce a lot of gas. Overcharging may lead to leakage, deformation, fire and other risky situations, and in severe cases, it may cause blasting!

Knowing so much about the knowledge of blasting, it is still important to choose an excellent and reliable lithium battery manufacturer, specializing in forklift lithium battery pack customization for many years, a trusted quality lithium battery custom manufacturer, welcome your custom consultation.
