In the hot summer, high temperature and high humidity mode has been opened everywhere. As the core component of an electric forklift truck, the battery is directly related to the safety and service life of the vehicle. How to take care of it and prevent it before it happens. Please check out this "heat prevention" strategy.
01
Do not charge in high temperature and closed environment. High temperature will cause the decomposition of lithium battery electrolyte, resulting in the loss of active lithium and reducing the use effect and cycle life of the battery.
Tip: The best charging temperature for lithium batteries is around 25℃ (±5℃), and the maximum temperature should not exceed 45℃. During the charging process, forklifts should be placed in a cool and ventilated place. Try to keep both ends of the charger wires exposed to the air and do not have other coverings to affect the heat dissipation of the charger.
02
Avoid prolonged exposure to rain, prolonged exposure of lithium batteries to rain (lithium batteries can withstand short periods of rainfall) may lead to water ingress into the battery casing, resulting in internal short circuiting of the lithium battery or failure of the whole battery set.
Tip: Avoid working outdoors for a long time in rainy weather, cover the forklift with a good cover, use a waterproof mackintosh for protection or park the forklift indoors, and prevent rain from getting into the charger and causing damage to the charger.
03
Li-ion battery not fully charged for many times in a row may result in inaccurate battery power, it is recommended to fully charge the battery to 100% once in half a month.
Tip: Develop good habits, replenish the battery when you are idle, do not run out of power when you are busy and try to avoid frequently charging the battery to 100% or discharging it to zero power.
04
In summer, when the battery is not used for a long time, it is recommended to charge it to 50%-60% before storing it in a dry and cool place, and the lithium battery in stock should normally be charged and discharged once every 3 months.
